Employment and livelihood are pillars of human dignity, and gainful employment is critical to the stability of the formerly incarcerated and other individuals facing barriers to the workforce. Employment helps them regain and maintain stability and self-sufficiency. The Second Chance Job Fair seeks to provide an opportunity to eliminate some of these challenges by connecting displaced workers to job opportunities and resources that will in turn, strengthen our New York City communities, making them more economically sound and keeping them thriving.

On Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 M.A.D.E. Transitional Services and the Columbia University School of Social Work Criminal Justice Caucus in conjunction with the NYU Silver Undergraduate Student Government Association are holding the Second Chance Job fair at New York University’s Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life Grand Hall.

Over 200 prospective job seekers will have the opportunity to seek employment with 30+ hiring companies committed to reentry and workforce inclusion. In addition to meeting with recruiters, job search assistance including résumé and interview help will be available on site.
Come in your best attire with copies of your resume, if available, and get ready to work!
