Job Description

IT Supervisor with production experience who can support Production team that will oversee the support of key Vonage platform and Systems. We seek an individual with experience in development and programming project mgmt and planning. Individual will provide 24x7 production and operational system support to customers and management. This position will work closely with Vonage development, Networks ,Q/A and Release Management teams.

Essential Job Functions:
-Manage development resources that will support production and system environments solutions
-Coordinate and prioritize planned changes assuring production environment stability
-Work with Q/A and Release management teams to develop deployment schedules for changes bug fixes and production issues
-Coordinate change management requirements with teams involved in deployment activities
-Ensure testing certification prior to changes being deployed into production
-Provide required information to change approvers to support decision making process
-Responsible for coordination, communication, escalation and management of production System issues across internal IT / Development stakeholders.
-Recommends improvements based on trends or operational issues; may develop requirements as necessary.
-Supervises post implementation verification testing for releases.
-Responsible for participation in the development of goals, personnel evaluations and for direct reports.
-Oversees implementation and modification activities in conjunction IT stakeholders, users, and management.
-Establish effective working relationships with partner teams to facilitate solutions to production environment.

Specific Requirements:
-Identify & fix existing production issues
-Provide workarounds for production problems
-Analyze and recommend process improvements
-Provide management of code solutions to business needs and technical issues
-Responsible for programming support for designated projects and for assigned IT systems.
-Define and collect application production statistics
-Provide weekly reporting on availability and performance status for systems
-Investigate room cause and recommendations for prevention
-Consult and direct applications on code level solutions
-Manage issues from production and new release
-Monitor production systems and alerts
-Implement process and reporting to help identify
-Drive system improvements and define, collect application production statistics
-Responsible for research and support of transactions in support of the other divisions of Planning:
-Works with IT Infrastructure team to develop and implement production updates and
-Work with partner teams to implement effective production monitoring tools

Additional Skills (would like to have but not required)
-Knowledge of operating systems, i.e. Unix, Linux, Windows
-Knowledge of Networking and telecommunication systems and platforms.
-Knowledge of database constructs; knowledge of database systems for ad-hoc reporting, programming and data management; ability to code on-line programs
