Senior Developer, FICT Global Trade Capture

Position Purpose:
Work as a technical lead to drive design and implementation of various front office applications and components within Fixed Income trade capture area. Drive and contribute to the development efforts and partner with technology leads of related Fixed Income and Enterprise systems to deliver on business requirements. This position requires the ability to work effectively to rapidly implement solutions and deliver production quality applications that are highly supportable and maintainable.

Key Accountabilities:
The Senior Developer will primarily be responsible to:
* Partner with Fixed Income core frameworks team and deliver high-quality solutions that can be reused by other teams
* Work closely with Business Analysts to understand the core business problems and deliver optimal IT solutions
* Work closely with QA Team to ensure high quality of the product and promotes efficient QA Tools and Techniques
* Lead evaluation of third party products to make buy vs. build decisions and ensure solutions are delivered cost effectively with proper time to market
* Validate overall application design and conduct design and code reviews
* Partner with Technology Leads of related Fixed Income and Enterprise systems to effectively deliver on business requirements
* Make sure that all new solutions are scalable and yield to high architectural standards
Overall, your main accountabilities will be broken down as follows:
30% - Define and Refine System Architecture
45% - Lead and contribute to system design and development efforts
20% - Work with project / product manager to understand Business Strategies and Priorities
5% - Research new and developing technologies

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
Our minimum requirements to ensure your success in this role are:
* Extensive experience developing, maintaining, and deploying enterprise quality Front Office Trading Applications.
* Expert level experience with object oriented languages and design patterns (Java)
* Experience with different aspects of Fixed Income markets: pricing, trading, distribution and risk management
* Strong knowledge of messaging technologies (RMDS, RV, JMS)
* Expert knowledge of vendor development products and open source initiatives and tools
* Experience working with financial trade interface standards (FpML, FIX, XML)
* Experience with Agile’ style development methods
* Current knowledge of Technology Landscape
