The Die Cut Operator is responsible for conducting all manufacturing functions in the Die Cutting Area, including using die cutting equipment and reading blueprints. They adhere to a daily schedule, meet output targets, and use hand jacks to move materials. They assist Process Engineers with die cutting issues, set up and run equipment, monitor output, and conduct quality inspections. They complete departmental documentation accurately, communicate effectively between departments, perform preventative machine maintenance, use appropriate PPE, and handle additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Use Die Cutting equipment to die cut materials.
  • Read/ follow written instructions, follow verbal instructions, read/ understand internal blueprints.
  • Work to a daily schedule and meet/exceed output targets by understanding the product flow and handling procedures within the department.
  • Use hand jacks to lift and move materials to lift and move materials to stockroom or the next work area.
  • Assist Process Engineers in solving die cutting issues.
  • Setup and run all related equipment, monitor machine output, and inspect for in process quality.
  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate well between departments, to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
  • Use appropriate PPE for designated area.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Relevant Work Experience: 0-1years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Personal/ Soft skills: Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
