About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Post Merger Integration to lead and oversee the successful integration of acquired companies into our organization. In this role, you will be accountable for your functional area and responsible for driving performance and effectiveness. You will work closely with executive leadership, business transformation, functional teams, and external stakeholders to achieve integration objectives and maximize value creation.

The day to day:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive post-merger integration plans:
  • Define integration objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify key workstreams, allocate and manage resources accordingly.
  • Ensure alignment with cross-functional risk management and resource financial planning.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional integration teams:
  • Provide strategic guidance and support throughout the integration process.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across functional teams.
  • Ensure effective communication and change management strategies are in place.
  • Drive operational excellence and synergies:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiencies.
  • Align business processes, systems, and cultures to achieve synergies.
  • Oversee the integration of key functions, such as finance, HR, IT, sales, and operations.
  • Monitor and report on integration progress:
  • Track and evaluate integration milestones and KPIs.
  • Identify and address any issues or roadblocks.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners:
  • Collaborate with external consultants, advisors, and legal teams.
  • Leverage external expertise to support integration efforts.
  • Develop and refine integration best practices:
  • Continuously evaluate and refine integration processes and methodologies.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across the organization.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in post-merger integration.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.

  • 8-13 years of experience in post-merger integration or related, relevant roles.

  • Proven track record of driving performance and effectiveness within functional areas.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to guide the vision, goals, and strategy for other functions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to foster engagement and build relationships across the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and address risks, issues, and roadblocks.

  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to drive change and adapt to new processes and technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to inspire and lead teams, including managing and developing talent.

The compensation package offered may vary depending on employment experience, skills, and knowledge. You may also be eligible for our generous benefits package including health, wellness and financial benefits. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of the location(s) below may differ based on the cost of labor, market, and additional factors.

The pay range for this position is below:

* 180,000 - 230,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
