The Role

The Financail Analyst will develop financial reports and support building the Vena ecosystem. This role involves generating accurate and timely financial reports, creating intuitive data visualizations, and conducting financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, learning about application development, enhancing programming skills, and improving financial operations. Proficiency in Excel is a must, foundational knowledge of SQL not required but will be developed, and experience Python is a plus.

Responsibilities
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and develop clear data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to represent financial metrics and KPIs effectively.
  • Analyze financial data to detect trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities, transforming these insights into compelling visual stories.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with precise data and analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with finance and accounting teams to refine reporting processes and enhance the accuracy of financial data.
  • Implement best practices in data visualization to improve comprehension and engagement among stakeholders.
  • Educate and assist team members and stakeholders in understanding and utilizing data visualizations.
  • Participate actively in the continuous development and improvement of the Vena ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical or technical field.
  • Experience in data analysis or financial analytics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Effective project management skills, with a proven track record of leading projects and documenting processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, Toad, and/or Tableau.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
