Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Digital Media Sales Manager to join our team at GameDeveloper.com. In this role, you will drive revenue growth by selling digital media solutions to vendors and agencies for our GameDeveloper.com media brand.

As Sales Manager, you will also contribute to the strategic direction and development of the brand. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of the digital media landscape, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales and new business development plan to meet revenue targets, emphasizing digital media solutions, upselling, customer retention, and exceptional customer experience.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities. Understand client needs and position GameDeveloper.com products and services as essential solutions.

Meeting Sales Standards:

  • Maintain accurate customer information/records in Salesforce, including interactions, transactions, and account plans.
  • Conduct a minimum of 10 sales calls per week and ensure accurate sales forecasting.
  • Maintain a weighted sales pipeline at least 2X the sales goal and log a minimum of 20 new sales opportunities per month.
  • Ensure that 60% of new opportunities result in a sales proposal and utilize data to measure and improve business performance.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to effectively communicate the value proposition of GameDeveloper.com's digital media solutions.

Sales Pitch:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling standard and customized sales pitches to clients, highlighting the benefits of our digital media products and services. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to client needs.

Negotiation and Closing:

  • Negotiate terms and conditions to successfully close deals. Coordinate with legal and finance teams for timely and accurate contract execution.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to refine sales strategies and tactics.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless client experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of success in digital media sales.
  • Thorough knowledge of the video gaming or tech industry and the vendor landscape.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex propositions to various stakeholders, including executives.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate reporting, pipeline management, forecasting, and adherence to sales standards.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A team player who can adapt to ambiguity and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Strong presentation skills, including face-to-face, written, and via voice and web conferencing platforms.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person client meetings and attendance at industry events.

Compensation and Expiration:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, plus commission, based on experience.
