Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Field work, including industrial hygiene monitoring, indoor air quality monitoring, and health and safety compliance assessments;
  • Data analysis of site investigation data including the preparation of data tables, maps, and figures using both industry-standard and cutting-edge applications;
  • Preparation of written documents such as proposals, workplans and investigative reports;
  • Assist in developing written safety programs, procedures, policies, and plans for multiple clients in the private and public sectors;
  • Study and assess personnel exposure risk under various industrial and construction settings;
  • Assist in the review, development, and deployment of project-specific health and safety plans and other documentation;
  • Support clients in identifying and mitigating health and safety hazards and issues related to their business, as well as conforming to applicable; federal/state/provincial/local requirements and industry best practices;
  • Monitoring, fieldwork, and oversight of site characterization, remediation, and environmental construction projects;
  • Work with minimal supervision to accomplish an assignment with clearly defined boundaries and objectives;
  • Fieldwork and overnight travel will also be necessary.
  • Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and potentially medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 75%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 75%
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in health and safety, industrial hygiene, public health, environmental science, environmental engineering, biology or other related degree. (required)
  • Advanced degree. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated strong interest in industrial hygiene and EHS compliance
  • Health and safety consulting experience including hazard identification and controls and chemical/environmental exposure assessments and mitigation (preferred)
  • Experience conducting exposure assessment monitoring for airborne contaminants and noise (preferred)
  • Experience planning and conducting indoor air quality assessments (preferred)
  • Experience conducting environmental compliance site assessments (preferred)
  • Experience planning and performing compliance audits and gap assessments for Federal and State OSHA compliance, third-party standards, manufacturers requirements, and generally accepted best practices (preferred)
  • Strong oral and technical writing (required)
  • Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
