About Cognizant's Digital Engineering Practice:

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

Location:

Primary Location - New York, NY

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for business rule extraction from the Unisys mainframe application and document it.

* Explain the rules capture along with the application functional flow of the application like navigating from screen to screen and job execution.

* Support the business analyst to document business requirements from the business rules extracted.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

* Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Hands On Skills

o To Be Hands-On in Unisys 4380 mainframe, MCP, COBOL 74, DMS II, WFL and XGEN.

Technical Delivery Skills

o Analyse the Unisys application and document the design of the Unisys mainframe application.

o Analyse the Unisys mainframe application and document business rules for batch jobs and online screens.

o Analyse the database table structure and provide input on the tables and data that are being used in COBOL application.

o Analyse job schedules and document the job sequence and data dependencies.

o Develop and test the Unisys application for any enhancements.

o Test the application for the any enhancements or validation of the application functionality.

o Clarify the documented business rules for the forward engineering team.

Soft Skills

o Good communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude.

o Should have Good Client Handling Skills

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $86,000.00 to $114,800.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
