Product Support Sales Representative - Governmental & Public Transportation

Department: Power Systems Product Support

Responsibilities

*Act as a liaison between all Foley Inc. and Caterpillar divisions to support and ensure a collaborative Customer Experience for NJ Transit Corporation.
*Lead point of contact for NJ Transit Corporation. Responsibilities include maintaining a strong relationship with NJ Transit Executives, Management and Maintenance Divisions.
*Attend scheduled NJ Transit Corporation meetings and conference calls as well as Caterpillar Rail Engine / Progress Rail Service calls, and document results and assist with open issues.
*Manage the enrollment and renewal process of Caterpillar ESC policies for NJ Transit Rail engines and monitor the balance of ESC accrual account.
*Assist Foley Technical Communicators and Service staff with support of Caterpillar Rail engines and related equipment.
*Provide required training to NJ Transit Bus Operations personnel.
*Assist NJ Transit Operations personnel with Caterpillar Electronic Technician hardware and software.
*Identify opportunities within NJ Transit Bus Operations to increase parts and services offerings from Foley.
*Work with Caterpillar Aftermarket representatives to develop parts Post Sales Credit (PCS) programs to drive incremental business and / displace "will fit" parts.
*Manage daily schedule effectively to ensure customer calls can be made each day in order to accommodate customers and business needs.
*Some travel outside of Foley territory may be required, including international travel.

Recommended Qualifications

*BS/BA or equivalent education or work experience.
*Minimum 5 years experience in Sales, Sales Management or Business Development experience and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
*Thorough understanding of Governmental supply and procurement systems
*Background in repair of Locomotive, and Railroad Maintenance equipment preferred.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
*Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and CRM systems.
