Overview

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator in New Brunswick, NJ that is enthusiastic, innovative, comfortable receiving and providing feedback who wants to make a positive impact and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This position will support communications and marketing efforts to reach the diverse communities we serve and want to serve. You will manage marketing projects, conduct research, and produce business-to-business and business-to-consumer-related content to encourage participation in energy efficiency programs.

The position is a hybrid role reporting to the New Brunswick, N.J. office, although most work is done from home.

You may work with leadership, engineering, and program development teams to keep on top of innovations and help implement marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the implementation of marketing strategies as outlined in annual marketing plans
  • Maintain up-to-date program details and a database of program information, available in digital and hard copy format in shared team folders
  • Develop digital and print media content, including websites, newsletters, fact sheets, and social media posts.
  • Design print and digital collateral
  • Curate and copyedit content for collateral using client and internal sources
  • Research and coordinate events and speaking opportunities
  • Support digital marketing initiatives by monitoring and optimizing websites, creating and tracking email marketing campaigns, and supporting search engine optimization and digital ad campaigns
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop content and cross-promote programs
  • Partner with outside vendors for printing and mailhouse fulfillment
  • Develop and present marketing reports
  • Log and track budget items to ensure remaining on or under budget
  • Conduct market research
  • Prepare agendas and document action items to support marketing meetings

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design/Media, or equivalent work experience in related fields
  • 1+ years relevant experience
  • Experience understanding and managing content management systems (CMS) to publish web page content
  • Strong copywriting and copyediting skills
  • A problem solver who is eager to adapt and learn new skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to coordinate, multitask, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to present clear and concise information, making concepts understandable and accessible to all audiences
  • Open to taking and giving feedback, revisiting edits as part of an iterative creative process
  • Strong organizational, communication (written and spoken), and time management skills
  • Experience with email marketing systems such as Constant Contact or MailChimp

Highly Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

  • Be prepared to submit writing and design samples upon request
  • Skilled in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign and Photoshop
  • Intermediate-level Excel knowledge
  • Familiar with SharePoint folders and document storage
  • Familiar with executing email campaigns, conducting surveys, and event management
  • Familiar with content management systems (CMS) and website service platforms including WordPress, using the Avada website builder
  • Understanding of SEO and web analytics including platforms like Ahrefs, Moz, SEMRush, GA4
  • Interest in clean energy, energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Interest in learning and adapting to new technology and software platforms as needed
  • Excitement to learn and grow professionally with an engaging team

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $60,000-$85,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
