The anticipated salary range for this role is between $210,000.00and $232,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
The Head of Data Management is responsible for oversight and daily management of both cross-functional and internal projects that involve designing and building enterprise data assests (including data warehouses and data marts) for the bank as well as operational discipline for execution.
This individual will oversee the IT team responsible for the following functional areas - Data Governance Technology; Data Design and Development, Group Company Liaison / Data Analyst, and Data Integration Services (ETL). Business stakeholders include the Infomation Control Department (Chief Data Officer); Finance Controllers and Risk Management as well as other internal customers. The preferred candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise for leading strategic initiatives to standardize data and enable business analytic capabilities (including but not limited to required Regulatory Reporting for the Bank) as well as day-to-day operational execution responsibilities. As a Senior level contributor, must demonstrate strong communciation and relationship building competencies. Stong Program and project management skills also a key skill requirement. The position currently has 4 direct reports.
The Head of Data Management reports to the Executive Director of Corporate Systems within the JRIA Applications, PMO and IT Governance department.
