Responsibilities

The Wellness and Recreation Supervisor will engage in the planning, organization, execution, development and implementation of programs/activities both on-site and off-site conducive to the continuation and strengthening of family ties and friendships, as well as the pursuit of intellectual, social and recreational interests aimed at maximizing individual potential to remain functionally independent within the community guided by the ESSHI work plan. The Supervisor will continuously assess tenants' daily activity needs, develop and implement new programing to best address these needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university preferred with a major in a field related to recreational activities, a minimum of three years' of related work experience and one year of related supervisory experience; or four to six years related experience; and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal education should have included completion of a course of study in one of the following areas but not limited to: recreation therapy, leisure studies, therapeutic activities, creative arts, gerontology or physical education. Related work experience may include but need not be limited to residential care, housing, rehabilitation, health care in therapeutic activities/recreation, programming and the running of activities for the geriatric population.

Compensation: Min. $60,000 - Max. $65,000 Annually
