Our Chemprene and AMMEGA US Specialty team are currently looking for a

Plant Manager

As the Plant Manager, you will translate strategic targets into effective production plans, complete projects on time and within budget and scopes, coordinate resources and management of facility processes, focus on continuous improvement and optimization, as well as drive short and long-term projects related to operational excellence. You will report to the Head of Conveyor Belting Operations and be part of the site management team. This on-site position is based in Beacon, New York. The salary range for this position is $145,000-$180,000 annually.

A day in the life of the Plant Manager can look like

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage them effectively and efficiently
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget and timeline
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Lead and implement cost savings, continuous improvement and operational excellence programs and ideas
  • Leads and implements annual budget process including CAPEX, Inventory, Revenue and EBITDA
  • Team development
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, coaching, mentoring, interpersonal, problem solving, motivational and negotiating skills.
  • Technical skills (example: stamping, welding, assembly, painting)
  • Ensure all safety and quality procedures are followed and actively work to improve safety and quality programs
  • Work to maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Identify necessary resources to get the job done, including recruitment, retention and development of team
  • Communicate to key stakeholders on key milestones of project
  • Build OHI action plans, communication results and update on progress

We are looking for you to have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field
  • 7+ years, hands-on record of running successful plants implementing LEAN programs with value-stream mapping and follow-up kaizen events, focusing on material flow, 5S, visual factory etc.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software and tools
  • Creative problem solver, strong communicator and resourceful leader
  • Manufacturing Lean & Six Sigma, supply chain experience preferred
