Job Description

The OEM Sales Manager's purpose is to prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for the broad scope of products, services, and solutions to our OEM customer account base; deliver new opportunities and regularly exceed sales expectations; position Seal Dynamics as a world class partner with every customer by embracing our values and successfully balancing the customers' requirements with our corporate objectives to achieve our goals.

Duties & Responsibilities -

  • Technically understand the functionality of all products and effectively sell by differentiating them over competition when possible.
  • Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers in advance of meetings. Following the visit, construct a final report outlining the findings and actions along with market intelligence.
  • Make sales calls and travel to customers a minimum of 40%.
  • Execute tactical and strategic sales meetings at customer facilities to include Engineering, Planning, Purchasing and Management representatives.
  • Maintain and grow account relationships at all levels including direct interface with Purchasing, Materials, Design, Development, and Quality Engineering.
  • Promote Seal Dynamics as a partner to provide solutions for new applications.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the entire sales process and the relationship between Seal Dynamics, our Partners and customers.
  • Monitor competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that impact buying decisions and present potential risks.
  • Responsible for delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans and sales strategies to increase sales.
  • Ability to develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Work with all functions of the organization to deliver results according to expectations.
  • Work in tandem with the Product Managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at selected customers utilizing several approaches including the CRM tool.
  • Engage in collection activities when necessary, in coordination with Finance team.

Knowledge & Skills Required -

  • Direct Aerospace OEM account / program management
  • Highly motivated & organized with a passion to achieve exceptional results
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven business and engineering acumen
  • Negotiation skills to address challenges and maximize profitability
  • General understanding of contracts to represent SD's best interests
  • Ability to adapt to unexpected situations, overcome obstacles and find solutions
  • Ability to quickly respond to requests and close deals with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and stay organized and meet deadlines
  • Effectively utilize computer tools, systems, and reports to access information independently
  • Be a team player willing to work with a diverse mix of individuals, placing team before self
  • Problem solving & finding the best course of action for the company & customer
  • A willingness to work outside normal business hours on occasion
  • Exhibit the highest level of professionalism and ethical behavior

Education & Experience -

  • 5 years aviation sales experience direct with OEM's. OEM customer examples could include, but not limited to, Collins, Safran, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell and their sub-tier suppliers.
  • BS Degree in engineering, marketing, business, accounting or related field and/or minimum 5 years of aerospace sales

Physical Demands -

  • Extensive travel
  • Work on a computer for 8 hours per day
