You and Your Job

As a Wholesale Client Support - Team Lead you will be successful Ensure all project finance transactions are booked, monitored and serviced properly through the understanding of the transaction, the operational elements, the global way of working, the financial and monitoring aspects. Full life cycle of the transaction.

The Wholesale Corporate Client Support Team (WST) Team Lead will provide middle office support the Project Finance business in all aspects of their portfolio from closing new transactions to monitoring performance.

The WST Team Lead is responsible for creating and monitoring all actions that are required to maintain the portfolio of transactions. The Lead must be a champion of change, assist and mentor the more junior members of the team. They should identify areas of deficiency within our process and bring solutions to better the overall process for our team. Build a culture of teamwork and excellent client service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on project finance transactions including letters of credit.
  • Coordinating the internal approval process and external documentation process (including doc review) for new transactions, renewals and amendments
  • Translation of credit legal documentation for operational purposes so the transaction to be serviced effectively and efficiently.
  • Letter of Credit monitoring
  • Maintaining a direct dialogue/connection with the project finance execution and portfolio management team
  • Ensure the business is in control with operational best practices, ways of working and clear procedures. Specifically, identify areas of deficiency within our process and bring solutions to better the overall process for our team.
  • Challenging the status quo
  • Creating a client service environment, building relationships, arranging annual visits to ensure Rabobank is providing premier customer service support to our client franchise
  • Liaise with members of Corporate Clients and Support teams (Operations (incl. Client Onboarding), Compliance, Risk, Legal and Finance) to ensure an efficient, effective and sustainable support model for our franchise
  • Build a culture of teamwork and excellent client service.
  • Build strong internal partners within the business, compliance, operations, finance
  • Strong managerial skills and be able to manage in a hybrid environment

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the Wholesale Client Support - Team Lead Project Finance role, you must have:

  • BS/BA in a relevant field; accounting, business, finance,
  • Project Finance knowledge
  • Strong analytic and computer skills (Excel), attention to detail.
  • 10+ years of experience in similar functions or related education. In depth knowledge of operations processes, lending products, trade finance - letters of credit, loan structures
  • 5+ management experience
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 15%

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $140,000.00 - $230,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
