Overview
The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) employs a workforce of approximately 2,700 staff, represented by 15 collective negotiations agreements, and is responsible for institutional strategic initiatives and operations, which encompasses an expansive range of comprehensive service and business operations across the State of New Jersey. These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations.
Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Department Administrator (IAM) for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). Reporting to the Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM), the IAM Department Administrator will provide administrative support for the Director and the IAM management team, who provide business service solutions for the entire Rutgers (RU) community- university wide.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • The Department Administrator will facilitate and coordinate the data gathering for required reporting from the IAM areas. This includes status reports, financial/budget, operational, and other required reporting.
  • The Department Administrator will work closely with the IAM Director on website content updates, marketing materials and general communication efforts.
  • Ensures timely, effective communication across teams as well. this position will actively work with business owners, internal IT team, product and consulting vendors.
  • The individual in this role must be able to function effectively with a high degree of independence and minimal direct supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping, and/or report writing principles and practices.
  • A minimum of two years relevant experience in an administrative function.

  • Excellent communication and data management skills, and computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
