Our Chemprene and AMMEGA US Specialty team are currently looking for a

Production Planner

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for scheduling and ensuring product is completed by the deadline while working with sales, production, purchasing, engineering and quality. This function must coordinate with the supervisors to obtain maximum utilization of labor and equipment and insure on time completion of customer orders. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and be part of the Scheduling team. This on-site position is based in Beacon, New York. The salary range for this position is $80,000-$85,000 annually.

A day in the life of the Production Planner can look like

  • Prepare and manage master materials schedule utilizing ERP system and appropriate databases
  • Participates in continuous improvement of Planning and Control systems.
  • Creates and maintains capacity requirements. Reviews and recommends changes as needed
  • Develop scheduling methodology that delivers stable schedule, while maintaining agility to support customer needs.
  • Monitor and report actual results vs. Master Production Schedule
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, procurement, and production departments.
  • Collaborates with pertinent departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to attain schedule.
  • Compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed.
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the plant; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Participates in forecasting meetings with sales, production, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, and purchasing.

We are looking for you to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
  • Minimum 5 years Planning/Scheduling experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Possess Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Highly skilled in data analysis, manipulation and presentation
  • Self motivating to contribute to a team environment
  • Excellent organization skills required
  • Excellent Computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, ERP (D365 preferred)
