Senior Managing Analyst, Private Credit & Leveraged Loans

Role Description


We are seeking a seasoned, self motivated and energetic New York-based senior analyst to utilize LSEG LPC unique data and community relationships to produce outstanding statistics, informative analysis and forward-looking market commentary. The position will also help direct product development efforts to support our product and analytical offerings and anticipate and solve our client needs.

The ideal candidate will be able to derive and interpret critical insights from qualitative and quantitative research in order to deliver valuable content to our customers. They will have built relationships and contacts in the loan market and understand the competitive landscape.

Role Responsibilities

  • Regularly build and publish analysis and commentary, as well as ad hoc reports, covering leveraged loan and private credit market activity whether on our products, publications, podcasts and conferences.

  • Work with our product, content teams, strategy and sales teams to identify, prioritize and capitalize upon new sales and business development opportunities.

  • Support and build positive relationships with clients to help drive sales, and to ensure that we proactively understand market trends and that we are meeting their needs with our offerings.

  • Guide and support data analysts to source critical data, including prioritization of markets and sources, evaluating data quality and facilitate development of new market relationships.

  • Continuously seek to improve on internal databases, research tools, processes and production environments.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Self motivated individual with seven to ten years of experience producing analysis and commentary for syndicated loans.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative still and superior ability to produce high quality written and verbal analytics and research demonstrating the power of our data to the market.

  • Excellent networking skills. Ideally have an existing network of connections in the syndicated loan and private credits markets.

  • Proven expertise with Excel/Access, excellent written communication skills, and an organized approach to projects and communications.

  • An understanding of contractual loan terms and how to source and interpret them is essential.

  • In-depth understanding of the evolution of the lender landscape.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across teams including sales, product management and editorial.

  • High level knowledge of LSEG LPC products and services, and a general understanding of loan information providers and the existing information sources/products available to loan market participants is helpful.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and glean information across a digital news publishing platform.

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $156,300 - $290,500.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
