Role Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Data and Analytics, the SQL Developer is a key member of the Data and Analytics team. The person in this role will be required to develop, optimize, and ensure the stability of new & legacy SQL data, jobs & scripts. This role will also be required to assist in developing SQL solutions designed to integrate on-premise and web hosted environments to provide analytics and reporting for the organization and create a connected enterprise.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the SQL Developer will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Interpret business requirements to design, develop & test processes that ensure high quality data & optimal system performance
  • Independently research & make recommendations for improvements to enhance methodology, capability, ease-of-use & efficiency
  • Assist & provide support to Enterprise architecture design & roadmap
  • Design and implement database solution to store and organize data efficiently
  • Collaborate with peers and work on multiple projects in an agile environment
  • Develop a good working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders to support the design & implementation of new solutions that leverage SQL Server objects
  • Plan and coordinate migration of legacy SQL Server data objects
  • Make modifications & enhancements to existing queries and applications for error correction, breaking changes (updates) and to improve overall function & performance
  • Document new and existing data warehouse resources and architecture
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns and insights to inform business decisions
  • Oversee SQL Server monitoring & scheduling
  • Manage SQL backup and retention jobs and procedures

What you'll need:
  • Work Experience: 4 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Visual Studio, SQL Server Installation and configuration tools, SSMS, Microsoft Office application proficiency (Particularly Excel) , understanding of CRUD operations ,Collaborative source code management system, SSIS and SSAS project experience; strong understanding of database design principles, normalization and data modeling
  • Organization Skills: ; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well collaboratively with the entire organization; flexible with change of demands and priorities
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information in a manner that non-technical staff can understand

Skills we prefer but don't require:
  • Experience:
    • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL 2019
    • Database Administrative role experience
    • SSAS Tabular and Multidimensional data model experience
    • Experience integrating with any or all of the following: CRM, PIM, ERP, Google Analytics, Active Directory, Microsoft Graph API, custom Web API integration and development
    • SSIS Zappysys and/or Kingswaysoft SSIS component experience
    • Microsoft Azure migration and maintenance
    • NoSQL non-relational database experience
    • Machine Learning methods
    • SSRS reporting
    • Epicor Eclipse ERP Knowledge
    • Powershell
    • Experience Linux/Unix based systems with Universe BASIC/UNIBASIC/Pick Basic experience
    • Rocket U2 Database knowledge
    • HTML,CSS,Javascript
  • Education/Certifications: Microsoft certified, Azure Data Engineer Associate
