As a Senior Deal Desk Manager at Snowflake, you'll be at the forefront of the company's growth efforts partnering with the newly created Commercial Strategy Team. This newly formed Team co-develops the commercial and financial solutions for Snowflake's Global and Strategic customers.

In this role, you will be the lead integrator between Snowflake's Deal Desk priorities and the customers technology objectives. You will be an active participant in internal deal development and customer strategy sessions, ensuring compliance with Snowflake's key financial objectives.

You will also work in close partnership with our Sales organization in the construct, review, approval, and negotiation of these business opportunities. In addition to this, you will also be the lead interface with Sales, the Commercial Strategy team, and all other corporate functions as business opportunities are evaluated, negotiated, and closed. Finally, you'll develop relationships at all levels and across the entire company in support of your deal function.

This role will be based out of one of Snowflake's offices in the US East Coast (Boston, New York, or Atlanta) and requires in-person attendance in the office at least 4 days per week.

AS A SENIOR DEAL DESK MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL :
  • Become a trusted advisor of the Sales and Commercial Strategy teams around the deal construct and negotiation of complex business opportunities.
  • Coordinate the flow of information across multiple groups, such as Sales, Services, Legal, Revenue Accounting, Operations, IT, etc. to facilitate the deal process.
  • Ensure that the execution of the deal review and approval process follows company policies and guidelines.
  • In partnership with other company functions, help set policies, process and procedures and assist and drive in their implementation.
  • Partner with multiple company functions in the development and improvement of systems, tools and processes that support the operation of the Deal Desk function.
OUR IDEAL SENIOR DEAL DESK MANAGER WILL HAVE :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or other related areas.
  • 10+ years of related experience in deal desk, sales finance, commercial finance, and contract negotiation positions.
  • Experience with complex contract negotiations and long sales cycles.
  • Ability to read, understand and draft contractual business terms and conditions.
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles and US GAAP.
  • Experience in the development of complex financial models to support the transactions being evaluated.
  • Experience and understanding of the SaaS and Consumption business models.
  • Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE :
  • MBA or other related areas.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $147,000 - $210,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
