Description:

Position Summary: Position is responsible for ensuring equipment integrity and timely repair. Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a focus on decreasing bakery downtime. Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Keep good records of all work assignments and communicate across all groups/departments. Able to identify required parts, current inventories, and to list parts required for reorder. Must have strong organizational skills and planning skills to help maintain proper part inventory for location. Must abide by all company policies including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Personal Safety Standards and Food Safety Standards. Duties will also include maintenance of building and support equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with mechanics in a team environment to identify needed parts, locating suppliers of needed parts, tracking delivery and accurately receiving parts.
  • Tracking inventory control of all mechanical parts coming in and out of the bakery
  • Conduct inventory audit counts of parts on hand
  • Tracking shipments within the systems of nationwide or local delivery services, receiving parts and materials. Putting into inventory and/or kitting materials for planned maintenance activities.
  • Coordinating and controlling an effective inventory system of spare parts and maintaining documentation of hazardous materials
  • Entering data and Bill of Materials into a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Entering findings from 3rd party Audits into Somax and entering other work orders that are needed for compliance or record keeping.
  • Perform all position responsibilities following established GMP, Food Safety, Personal Safety and Quality policies and procedures. Notifies supervision of any equipment problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education and Work History:

  • 4-6 years' experience working in MRO (Maintenance Repairs and Operations) - preferred in an industrial company.
  • Food Industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work with excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, and a computerized maintenance management system purchasing system (Somax).
  • Excellent people, organizational and communication skills
  • Able to perform regular lifting of 50 pounds, walk, bend, crouch, climb ladders and stairs, and be able to maintain a regular work schedule.
  • Background in proper accounting practices that pertain to MRO environments.
  • Worker subject to noise sufficient to require hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Capable of working in environment of flour dust.
  • Work requires the ability to read, write and communicate in English in order to understand and follow work and safety instructions.
  • Must be able to perform basic arithmetic to include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
  • Salary Range: ($61,200 TO $79,500)
