Purpose:

Manages a regional portfolio of projects that both add value and create competitive advantage for our clients' business, whilst driving additional revenue streams into the Damco/ Maersk organization.

Manages the network of Program Managers assigned to Regional Key Accounts and creates the framework around Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Customer Service, and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery & Customer Satisfaction.

  • Drive operational excellence across Maersk product teams.
  • Identify and hold operational leadership accountable to customer program deliverables.
  • Partner with commercial counterpart for strategic roadmap setting and account growth planning.
  • Establish and track goals, metrics, and indicators for success for the global program.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and solution engineering for market fluctuations and other supply chain disruptions.
  • Network, collaborate, and utilize the global community across all product teams to deliver Maersk's 'end to end' solutions.
  • Establish and foster data driven relationships with clients, focusing on joint strategic vision and initiatives, ensuring top to top leadership engagement and support and proper escalation matrices in place where needed.

Product & Profitability

  • Collaborate with responsible operational teams on IOPs and identify optimization or efficiency opportunities.
  • Identify value added solutions for the customer and Maersk.
  • Represent the account(s) during business implementation and execution, including onboarding of new Maersk product portfolio; collaborating with internal project owners accordingly.
  • Continuously seek to improve and optimize automation initiatives, including maintaining and/or enhancing edi customer exchange and ai capabilities.
  • Responsible for identifying and reducing program operating cost.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews with Senior Executive client teams
  • Adapt communication style when working with all levels of the organization
  • Lead and influence various client teams of the organization across business units
  • Participate in workstreams and high impact project opportunities aimed to improve our community's quality of work experience
  • Create lockstep alignment with commercial counterpart on account initiatives, strategy, and deliverables
  • Partake in setting team's objectives and proactively provide recognition and feedback
  • Participate in Program Management meetings, calls and share best practices.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor Science degree preferably in Business/Logistics/Engineering
  • 3+ years relevant experience with a proven track record in operational management
  • Committed, independent, and self-motivated; has enthusiasm for challenging work
  • Passion for driving Operational Excellence in the business
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, build strong relationships, and influence decision making.
  • Proven and sustained track record of delivery, with focus on driving results through others
  • Experience of working with wide variety of complex operational and commercial challenges
  • Being a team player and able to collaborate with local & regional teams
  • Knowledge of risk management & Lean tools with the ability to identify activities.
