JOB SUMMARY

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.

Our Telemetry Unit is a 38-Bed Unit. The team-oriented unit provides a wide variety of medical/ surgical and diagnostic services to a diverse cardiac population, which includes congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, respiratory compromise and dysrhythmias. The skills learned here set the groundwork for advancement to critical care.

Work Experience Required

• Minimum of 1 year sub-acute or acute care nursing experienced preferred

Educational Skills Required Degree, Certification, License, etc.

• Current New Jersey Professional Registered Nurse License,
• Ability to perform all the competencies of the position is required for employment in the position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Maintain Joint Commission Readiness
• Maintain CEUs
