Dodge Construction Network (DCN) is looking for an experiencedEngagement Manager. In this role, you will work on our Principia team which is dedicated to research and consulting exclusively focused on the building materials and construction industry. As an Engagement Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage and participate with consulting engagement teams in the design, execution, and delivery of research and analysis that support strategic business decisions for our clients.

This position reports directly tothe SVP, Delivery.

Location

This is a remote role with the flexibility to work from any location in the U.S. There is a preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern time zones.

Core Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for the design and execution of research consulting engagements
  • Develop/refine scope of engagement, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  • Drive staff performance to successful completion of engagement
  • Organize and lead research teams in gathering and analyzing data, in a timely manner with allotted budget
  • Obtain research data through a vast network of relationships and contacts, both primary and secondary research
  • Conduct select primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information
  • Prepare and present detailed reports/presentation material (findings and analysis) to clients
  • Guide the development of analysis, appraisal and recommendations, oral presentations, and all supporting documentation
  • Serve as key client liaison throughout duration of engagement
  • Train and mentor new employees
  • Lead company training in strategic development and management workshops
  • Support business development efforts by maintaining client relationships, and assisting in proposal development and internal planning activities

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of consulting and project management experience with a background in research
  • Experience with market assessment models to understand demand and supply dynamics
  • Experience in building materials and/or construction industry research preferred
  • Experience in conducting in-depth interviews (IDIs) with construction industry participants
  • Experience in presenting findings to clients in a clear and conclusive manner
  • Excellent computing and data processing skills to consolidate and interpret industry data
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel required; Tableau experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to schedule and plan client meetings and implement and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work in a remote environment
  • Ability to travel as needed (5-10%, North America)

Salary Disclosure

DCN's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
