Job Description
Responsible for support involving automation, assembly, maintenance, and data collection.   Perform the tasks of developing test routines, software, and systems for testing of products to meet customer specifications.  Responsible for all aspects of production, development, support, training, and automation involving test issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect Test and Burn-in fixture designs, both hardware and software, Test Plans compliant to customer requirements
  • Mentor less experienced Test Engineers on proper methodology of test
  • Support both internal design reviews and external design reviews with customer
  • Work with Design Engineers on issues with test equipment hardware, software, reliability, and qualification across multiple shifts and facilities.
  • Support maintenance and repair of test station hardware, software and interface test adaptors - both internally systems designed and COTS.
  • Utilize a vast knowledge of precedents in test engineering and administer understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test integrity and efficiency.
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas and drive cost reduction initiatives on production test.
  • Work with factory production personnel to resolve test related issues.
  • Present technical expertise and recommendations to test, manufacturing, product, and quality engineers on production feedback and support issues.
  • Develop procedures, methods and tools for test, verification and certification of the company’s products.
  • Develop procedures and tools for testing, calibration and verification of the equipment.
  • Ensure the equipment is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to the corresponding procedures.
  • When repetitive failure of company’s products occur or failure under warranty, participate in Root Cause Analysis.
  • When required, support the Design Engineers in troubleshooting and repairing returned products from the customers.
 Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or any related course or relevant military training and experience.
  • Experience in data gathering and analysis using appropriate software tools and/or the ability to write or evaluate such tools.
  • Ample knowledge and experience working with systems and a wide variety of testing tools – oscilloscopes, DMM, Function Generator etc.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and defect reporting process.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills is a must.
  • Mechanical skills a plus
  • 10yrs experience preferred in Production Test Fixture Design
