Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Associate II within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Research Associate II position is to conduct specialized research, using judgement to adapt methods and techniques. May assist the PI in managing a small-sized laboratory area. Assists the Principal Investigator (PI) with budgetary, training and administrative responsibilities. Incumbent will work in the area of cancer metabolism. In addition, Process Development Specialist trains and guides junior laboratory personnel including interns, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows, and provides assistance in the preparation of manuscripts, grant applications and slides for scientific presentations. Assists with all aspects of technical and biological validation of the procedures developed by investigators as well as assisting the PI with the preparation and submission of documentation for compliance with regulatory entities needed for the use of human or animal material as well as reagents that requires biosafety approval. The current focus of Guo lab is to explore the cancer metabolism in KRAS-driven lung cancer and identify metabolic vulnerabilities for potential therapeutic intervention. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Laboratory Environment. Moderate noise.
