EnSafe is accepting applications for a Senior Machine Guard/ Safety Professional based out of EnSafe's Hartford, CT office.

What We Are Looking For

As a Senior Machine Guard/Safety Professional, you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provide client and project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive machine safety projects.
  • Conducting machine guarding compliance and risk assessments
  • Lead technical teams working across multiple offices nationwide, problem-solving, and meeting with clients.
  • Develop and implement machine guarding strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of EnSafe's clients.
  • Oversee the training and development programs for machine guarding personnel.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and recommend effective machine-guarding measures.
  • Stay abreast of the latest machine guarding technologies and integrate them into EnSafe's security solutions.
  • Traveling to local and nationwide clients. Overnight travel will be required at times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (safety management, mechanical engineering, etc.). Advanced degrees or certifications (CSP,CMSE, CFSE etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in machine design or machine guarding risk and compliance assessments, or a track record of successfully implementing machine guarding strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of machine guarding technologies, risk assessment, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of ANSI and ISO machine guarding standards.
  • Specific experience in robotics safety (a big plus).

Ideally, you'll also have any of the following...

  • OSHA HAZWOPER training
  • Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE)
  • Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE)
  • Safety Management Systems (SMS) certifications
  • Familiarity with the following H&S areas is a plus: safety inspections/audits, lockout-tagout, machine guarding, confined spaces, job safety assessments, and construction safety.
