POSITION SUMMARY

Development Donor Systems is an operations team within Development at NRDC that serves as a center of operational excellence within the department. The team and each team member's specific responsibilities continue to evolve as we build out our technology platform to support the department and organization as they grow. This is an exciting time during which we can shed old processes and ways of working that are no longer serving the institution. Flexibility, adaptability, and patience will be necessary to perform successfully in this role.

Reporting directly to the Donor Onboarding Manager, the Coordinator supports the Development, Donor Systems, Donor Onboarding function. Donor Onboarding is a gift operations unit that processes contributions, emphasizing the data integrity of NRDC's Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database which facilitates a seamless reconciliation with Accounting.

This role is a cross-functional team player who collaborates with other teams, so donations are processed swiftly and accurately in our Salesforce database. The ideal candidate would be an approachable, data-oriented self-starter who likes to problem solve and has a strong ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

    Process gifts via various payment methods from all Development revenue sources (Action Fund, Foundations, Major Gifts, Membership, Principal Gifts) in Salesforce
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders from Development and Accounting/Finance to obtain gift information for timely processing of contributions
  • Open, sort, scan, and deposit checks in the office and assist with the lookup of those donors in our Salesforce database
  • Review a variety of data integrity reports to confirm the information in our Salesforce database was entered correctly and update to maintain quality data in the system
  • Create reports to review donation data and participate in reconciliation process with Accounting/Finance
  • Adhere to established data standards and practices as well as participate in ongoing process improvement
  • Manage and track time spent on Action Fund (c4) processing

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years of nonprofit development experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Salesforce or CRM database experience strongly preferred
  • Donor and financial data entry experience strongly preferred

Skills, Abilities, Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of internal stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to NRDC U.S. based offices, approximately 40-60% annually

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. Internal equity will be reviewed and considered to determine a final offer. For this position, the salary range is $55,800 to $61,500.

Our offices are open and we are operating in a hybrid model. We offer NRDCers flexibility, and we ask them to come into the office and spend meaningful time there in collaboration with their colleagues. We call this purposeful presence.
