The salary range for this role, based in New York is $86,900.00 to $119,500.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for assisting on the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical brand plans for Kahlua. This role provides significant opportunity for leadership and ownership as the primary responsibilities will consist of general management, support of brand program creation, innovation, execution of key brand initiatives, coordinating / supporting brand content creation, supporting financial accountability and P&L analysis, and regular analysis of business performance.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing multiple projects in partnership with internal and external cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include

  • Strategic Planning: Support Brand lead on planning process to develop breakthrough consumer centric programs
  • Agency management & cross functional team participation: Partnering with the agencies and cross functional team to drive the communication strategy and vision media to shelf, for retail programs, and helping to develop platforms/executions that maximize business results
  • Analysis and Reporting:
    • Lead the analysis and reporting of market and competitor trends to identify salient business issues/opportunities, working with divisional sales/marketing teams as necessary
    • Assist with the development of the Strategic Brand Review by analyzing category opportunities, identifying key consumer targets, innovation opportunities, and activation strategies
    • Keep a pulse on the state of the business across key performance trackers to provide the team with valuable insights and watchouts to inform execution
  • Research: Collaborate with Insights team on research programs to ensure marketing programs/expenditures meet KPIs. Consistently seek to improve the existing programming
  • Act as day-to-day support to Director and Senior Brand Manager assisting in various brand deliverables: Brand Annual Operating Plan and Consumer Engagement Platform, P&L, A&P spend guidelines & internal engagement plan
  • Manage US social channels for Kahlua with support from outside agency and global brand team
  • Support the development of brand's long-term innovation plans with Innovation Hub along with execution (launch, content & budget planning)
  • Support Director and Senior Brand Manager on asset creation with Global Team (Brand Company)
  • Support Director and Senior Brand Manager in the development of national programs/strategies with flexibility and local adaptation in mind; deliver brand digital strategy/media engagement plans
  • Support the Creative Content Director in coordinating the creation of brand assets for always-on and key campaign periods
  • Support financial accountability and P&L analysis through management of vendor purchase orders and A&P budget tracking

  • Must be able to both lead and influence teams effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and executive presentation skills

Required Skills/Competencies

  • 3+ years of marketing experience; experience in strategy/brand development, including brand positioning and brand building activities (digital/social and retail)
  • Strong financial / business / analytical acumen. Must be proficient in Excel
  • Proficiencies in problem solving and the ability to multi-task are requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and executive presentation skills
  • Spirits industry experience preferred
  • MBA preferred

  • Approximately 15-20% travel to field locations
