Description:
Our Planner supports Mativ's Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions Function. This individual will manage an assigned set of Materials and Suppliers and be responsible for meeting production demands, working within Inventory constraints and targets to deliver year over year improvements in total cost to serve through alternative sourcing, replacement materials and Consignment/Working Capital. This position is based in Windsor, CT and reports to the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager.

responsibilities:
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in efforts to incorporate forward-looking Demand Management.
  • Partner with other Mativ NA and Global locations to manage Intercompany orders.
  • Confirm Commercial Sales Orders for Best-Date given Stated Product Lead Times, Customer Agreements and Raw Material/Capacity planning.
  • React and take immediate actions in case of customer demand changes (pull ins/push outs)
  • Report, maintain, and monitor appropriate inventory levels and safety stocks.
  • Schedule production runs on coating and converting machines, based upon maximizing productivity, efficiency and hitting corporate RLIP (Requested Line-Item Performance=Customer requested ship dates) goals.
  • Monitor, prepare, and report monthly master data.
  • Support sales goals, inventory control and capacity forecasting.
  • Review machine and personnel capacity to determine any potential risks to upcoming customer commitments and demand.
  • Work with operations to prioritize workflow to support on-time delivery.
  • Manage SAP work orders in alignment with Coating and Converting schedules.
  • Monitor and communicate schedule adherence and performance goals with production departments.
  • Provide material availability and delivery information to customer care departments. Coordinate order promising based on available inventory and production schedules.
  • Evaluate time standards in relation to actual performance and suggest actions as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver daily operations meeting metrics as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to support production requirements necessary to meet current and future demands.
  • Monitor and coordinate with buyers to ensure incoming materials are adjusted where possible to support production schedule and customer demand changes.
  • Support operational goals of improved cycle turns and reduced inventory levels.
  • Work directly with Sub-Contractors, Issue purchase orders, coordinating with Suppliers, Planner & Warehouse as needed to fulfill sub-contract process end to end.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.
  • Back-up Windsor Planner, Supply Chain Manager, and Buyers, as needed for PTO coverage.

qualifications:
Required
  • 3+ Years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ Years of experience with End-to-End Supply Chain Management processes (Source, Plan, Make and Deliver processes)
  • Effective in work organization: managing priorities and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Maintains a process focus and time-based approach with regard to Production Planning, Inventory Management and Capacity Utilization
  • Familiar with an integrated ERP system (SAP, ORACLE, JD Edwards) and Production Scheduling tools.
  • Thorough understanding of MRP concepts, capacity planning, routings, and Bills of Material.
  • Applies a demonstrated Sense of Urgency to complex business challenges in Supply/Demand
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints while maintaining a high level of work accuracy.
  • Self-confidence and the ability to challenge other areas when necessary.
  • Detail oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.

Preferred
  • Inter Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge (Vlookups, Macros, Pivot Tables)
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Cross Functional Team Leadership experience
