Core Responsibilities

  • The Senior Construction Specialist for the Construction Quality Assurance section supports quality management activities for Central Operations by examining existing financial, procedural, and operational controls for accuracy, effectiveness, and accuracy. The Senior Construction Specialist will perform data analysis using data visualization tools and develop metrics and dashboards to conduct trend analysis. The Senior Construction Specialist will support Construction Quality Assurance and the operating areas by providing supporting documentation, data, and risk analysis, when necessary.
  • Conduct Snapshot reviews to identify and evaluate risks, process improvement opportunities, and adherence to Organizational compliance.
  • Participate in departmental projects related to technology initiatives and proof of concepts.
  • Administer and maintain CQA's SharePoint site.
  • Conduct QA Reviews/Snapshots to identify confidences, risks, and adherence to Organizational compliance.
  • Conduct data management, statistical sampling, and data analysis to support organizational needs.
  • Participate in departmental Operational Self Assessments (OSAs) to facilitate identifying process improvements.
  • Collaborate with CQA members to develop, plan, and initiate strategies to measure indicators and improve work practices in Central Operations. Report to management on trends and analysis that create focus on areas of concern.
  • Participate in departmental projects related to technology initiatives and proof of concepts. Lead discussions with stakeholders reviewing activity results.
  • Collaborate with CQA members to assess work processes. This may include, but not limited to, reviewing procedures and records, using quality management tools, identifying and connecting to source data, and determining/or recommendations for improvements related to the subject matter.
  • Collaborate with CQA members to identify process automation opportunities using data analysis and technology
  • Develop indicators and/or dashboards using data visualization tools that display Organizational metrics, performance, and /or compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to develop quality control checklists and resulting reporting requirements using data visualization tools.
  • Participate in Construction's Storm Damage Assessment on-call team.
  • Participate in other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or related field of study and 4 years of related work experience or
  • Associate's Degree in Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or related field of study and 6 years of related work experience or
  • High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related work experience

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must respond to system emergencies
  • Must work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle to travel between various working locations.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
  • Must be physically able to wear the standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • The work environment consists of office and field visits.
  • May be required to work off hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies if required.
