Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Analyst for the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER).

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Works in specified research projects within early childhood. Research is meant to inform ECE policy and practice at the national, sate and local levels.
  • Provides research support to faculty at the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER).
  • Performs both quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis.
  • Writes technical reports and prepares conference presentations.
  • Will work as a research analysts part time for projects as needed.
  • Completes work independently with specific defined work objectives and faculty review of overall results.
  • Performs research work that requires broad and in-depth knowledge of early childhood education policy and research and a solid understanding, use, and application of concepts, theories, principles, practice, terminology, and application to policy practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A Master's degree in a discipline related to Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of pre-k policy.
  • Experience communicating ECE research results to various audiences.
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with early childhood research analyses to inform policy and practice.
  • Extensive experience conducting research or technical assistance.
  • Experience writing technical reports.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in quantitative or qualitative research in ECE.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of pre-k policy.
  • Knowledge of quantitative or qualitative analytical software such as Dedoose, SPSS, Stata, SAS, nVIVO.
