Job Overview

Responsible for control and accountability of all required documentation for government equipment utilized on site. Maintains Chugach Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Database performing adds/deletes as procurements and turn-ins occur. Catalogs Chugach procurements to be added to Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) and performs deletes for turned in materials from GCSS-A. Distributes Custodian Inventories to company Property Custodians annually to maintain 100% inventory compliance per contract requirements. Properly documents discrepancies. Possesses fundamental knowledge in supply chain management to include but not limited to planning and controlling the flow of materials into, through and out of an organization, customer relationships, etc. Supervises and directs lower-level staff. Able to exercise prudent discretion and judgment.

Exempt/salaried position is located at Picatinny Arsenal, Morris County NJ.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Leads to ensure staff tasks are completed accurately, independently and with minimal supervision. Develops, prioritizes communicates priorities to Leads. Ensure staff receive training, as appropriate. Provides necessary coaching to the team.
  • Contributes input to management for hiring, team performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and other aspects of employment.
  • Verifies employee productive time on employee time sheets as required.
  • Maintains and operates inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), Chugach Furnished Property (CFP) and Government Furnished Property (GFP)in compliance with company policy and FAR 52.245-1.
  • Supports the project Safety Plan though personal involvement in all aspects of Safety, including training, safety protective equipment and clothing, and adhering to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • One year inventory control experience.
  • Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • May be required to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft programs, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Ability to understanding and accurately generate correspondence, reports, and records.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills to schedule and track to completion 100% annual inventories.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use material handling equipment, such as floor truck/jack and forklift.
