Job Description

Summary

The Planogram Analyst is responsible for the optimal product placement for each item within a customer's assortment in both visual and assortment POGs by analyzing sales & profit detail by SKU. Visual concepts or hard POGs would first be a live set and then transferred to POG software. The Planogram Analyst works closely with the category buyers to ensure their vision of the category is being implemented in the planogram. Reporting to the Visual Space Planning Manager, the Planogram Analyst is responsible for managing and updating action plans, planograms & planogram assignments, creating selling material for customers, merchandiser communications for distributions, and other special projects as needed to support Jacent's business and growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates planograms efficiently using assigned POG software (Blue Yonder) while carrying out the Category Buyer's vision
  • Analyzes the need for POG changes and varying footages/placement for category revisions according to an annual schedule
  • Allocates fixture space/item placement based on current sales, inventory turn, and sales potential
  • Accountability for data integrity of all planograms and planogram assignments as well as fixture assignments
  • Create and updates Customer Action Plan assortments
  • Assists in creating item stock numbers
  • Ensures that all fixture and supply detail is included with planograms for ordering purposes
  • Generates visual selling materials for customers
  • Assists with creating merchandiser communications for distributions
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced PC skills, systems aptitude, and experience
  • Utilize merchandising guidelines effectively with an eye for aesthetics
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of energy and initiative
  • The ability to prioritize and manage several different tasks/accounts at once
  • The ability to work effectively to meet deadlines

Experience and Credentials

  • Blue Yonder/JDA or other POG software experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of planogram experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts or equivalent experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access
  • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or In-Design & Power Point competencies preferred
