Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the QA Floor Inspector is responsible for ensuring products are being produced in a manner that meets all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Product Specification criteria. This enables improved first pass quality and adherence to cGMPs on the production floor at all times. The QA Floor Inspector acts as the quality expert on the production floor and will guide and advise operation associates, as needed, on cGMP's and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) to ensure timely release of product or reaction to issues.

Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Performs in-process testing verifications of manufacturing/packaging data to confirm consistency in testing methodology and test data.
  • Submit daily Analytical and Micro samples to QC for appropriate testing.
  • Performs AQL as required.
  • When required, conducts approval of pre-start-up activities including line/room clearance, and initial equipment checks.
  • Consistently reviews in-process batch documentation to ensure real-time compliance to product specifications, good documentation practices, company SOP's and cGMP's.
  • Discusses errors directly with line personnel so corrections can be made if required.
  • Reviews Production logbooks for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensures all associates strictly follow SOP's, GDP's, and cGMP's.
  • Performs review and release of batch records/work orders.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains exceptional work attendance.
  • Performs daily compliance Audit and Gemba walk for all applicable areas.
  • Conducting duties in compliance with safety rules, applicable SOP's, and cGMP Guidelines.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education, Licensure & Professional Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years prior Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment functionality
  • Experience with Quality Assurance Systems
  • Experience working with Computer Software such as Oracle, AS400, PQM, Captiva, etc.

Skills:

  • High organizational skills is required.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Basic computer knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is required
  • Understanding of mathematical functions, such as mean, median, average, and standard deviation is preferred
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions

Physical Demands:

  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc.within a warehouse/manufacturing environment
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish)
