Memorial Sloan Kettering's Magnet-recognized Department of Nursing is made up of almost 5,000 highly skilled nursing personnel, including more than 600 nurse practitioners, 40 clinical nurse specialists, and 32 nurse educators. All are dedicated to delivering expert care to people with cancer and their families.

The Emergency Center provides emergent and comprehensive patient-centered care to MSKCC'S patients, families, and staff 24 hours, 7 days a week. Patients are triaged/evaluated, and a decision is made to admit, discharge, or place a patient in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU).
You Are:- A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization.
- Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged, using both formal and informal development.
- Approachable and comfortable with diverse groups of people and able to make others comfortable with you.
- An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
- Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our Urgent Care Center.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.
- Provide outstanding patient-centered care to our patients and unregistered patients.
- Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.
- NYS RN license and BSN
- A minimum of 1.5-2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience required.
- Critical care/ Emergency Department and/or medical oncology experience highly preferred
- May consider New Graduate RNs with a preceptorship or externship in a critical care area.
