Leading Project Design Teams and Collaborating to Deliver Solutions

As a Harmon Design Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to leverage your industry knowledge and educational experience as a member of an elite team of curtain wall design professionals. As a valued member of the Harmon team, you will provide technical support to internal sales and operations teams during proposal, design assist and critical production phases of the project. You will also interact and collaborate with the project design team to develop solutions which meet the contractor's schedule, the owner's budget, and the architect's vision.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Your top priorities are to insure complete and timely delivery of all technical proposal documents to the preconstruction sales team for inclusion in a project proposal and support the operations team during the preconstruction phase of the project.

  • Manage design development and the design assist process
  • Lead a team of designers and hold them accountable for accuracy and timeliness
  • Take ownership of the design documents and act as the technical lead on the preconstruction team
  • Support our operations team on all technical aspects of the project

EXPERIENCE

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in a construction related field such as architecture, engineering, drafting, design, or project management.
  • Minimum of 10 years curtain wall industry experience in engineering, drafting or project management
  • Experience with system design, testing standards & procedures, fabrication & assembly techniques, and field installation procedures preferred
