Position Summary:
The Center for Computational Heliophysics (CCH) of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Department of Physics, invites applications for a temporary research assistant position to develop an integrated heliophysics database and data analysis software. We seek a candidate with a strong background in computer science, database creation, mathematics, statistics, and computational methods. Experience with analysis of heliophysics data processing is essential. The successful applicant will be expected to work on the project, including the development of software, project website, and support of CCH projects. Applicants should have obtained an MS in computer science by the start date. The initial appointment is for four months and can be extended subject to funding availability.

Essential Functions:
Development of heliophysics database, machine-learning data analysis software, and support of CCH projects.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- MS. in computer science or related field.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the development of heliophysics databases, ML methods, API, and web interfaces.
