Your challenges
  • Cost-effective purchasing of suppliers worldwide on high quality production standard and on schedule.
  • Complete processing of orders, which includes soliciting and processing of order confirmations, handling of shipments and duty formalities, etc.
  • Negotiate and compare pricing
  • Ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials supporting production schedules.
  • Maintain Purchasing master data (e.g. supplier information, article data, regulatory information)
  • Maintain planning of cost and non-cost items, release/change of purchase orders, processing material deficit reports
  • Processing of discrepancies on incoming invoices and prepare invoices for approvals
  • Assist in processing change requests in the scope of purchasing responsibilities
  • Processing of complaints to suppliers and following corrective actions.
  • Maintain purchasing policies and procedures
  • Maintain documentation control of all procurement related forms
  • Preliminary work on statistics and reports (QlikView or Excel)
  • Coordinate shipping/receiving department deliveries (packing slip discrepancies)
  • Participate in projects within the scope of purchasing
  • Traveling to local suppliers when necessary
Your expertise
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in relevant field a plus
  • Five+ years of experience in manufacturing supply chain, procurement/purchasing, expediting and/or delivery assurance
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • SAP, LN-Infor ERP, MRP experience a plus
  • Energetic
  • Driven and outgoing
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-pace environment
