Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position is responsible for supporting the demand/supply and inventory planning functions for the US market specifically related to inventory management and procurement functions for both CMOs and inter-company manufacturing operations. The position will work closely with all functions to meet company targets for accurate demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory planning.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

This position will report to the Sr. Mgr of Supply Chain Analytics and be based in the Morristown, NJ office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

  1. Maintain, distribute, and monitor demand forecasts for CMOs and inter-company manufacturing in support of the US market.
  2. Host monthly forecast review meetings to analyze and control inventory levels to optimize customer service levels.
  3. Work directly with Supply Chain Manager and logistics personnel to coordinate material flow from suppliers
  4. Work directly with procurement to request and distribute POs and STOs to suppliers.
  5. Develop and manage supplier relationships to assure high quality, cost effective and timely supply of required materials by effectively monitoring supplier performance.
    1. Manage suppliers to ensure the business receives material and finished goods that meet quality requirements and delivery expectations using a Supplier Scorecard program.
  6. Assist in system inventory reconciliation.
  7. Run ZMB5M report for QA/QH products that have been released.
  8. Inventory Status report - check for any past due POs/alert planning
  9. Ad HOC SAP reporting/data mining
  10. Quality Forms for Vendor and Material Set up/Deletion
  11. Create SharePoint as repository for Product Dims/pallet patterns
  12. SIOP deck preparation
  13. Metrics Data Compilation
  14. Monitor and analyze key supply chain metrics like inventory turnover and forecast monitoring to be reported at monthly SIOP meetings. Use this data to propose ways to optimize inventory, minimize cost while maintaining flexibility in the supply chain.
  15. Update the forecasts in the ERP system and maintain material masters including reorder points, reorder quantities, lead times and safety stock.
  16. Work directly with inter-company team to refine and create efficiencies in both the business and system processes.

*May require up to 10% travel

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
    • CPIM or CPM certification a plus
  • 0 - 3 years of Forecasting, Planning, Purchasing, and/or Inventory Control experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, detail and process oriented
  • Effective writing skills
  • Superior communicative skills
  • Effective follow-up skills
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Self motivated with minimum direct supervision requirements
  • Must be a team player with strong work ethics.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Must be capable to relate data analysis to sound business recommendations and support business case for improvements

GMP DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

This position will provide input into US commercial supply decisions.
