The practice's holistic approach to orthopedics involves coordination of personalized services within the practice and with other providers, to ensure a comprehensive range of care to people of all ages. We are pleased to offer a full spectrum of orthopedic care and have combined expertise in all major orthopedic specialties.
The Injury Clinic Model
Cooley Dickinson Medical Group is launching a walk-in, no appointment necessary orthopedic injury clinic at our Amherst location (170 University Drive, Amherst, MA 01002). The goal? To provide urgent, same-day visits for patients, provide appropriate evaluation and treatment, and establish needed follow up or surgical care during the visit. We also offer radiology services on-site.
Our APPs help diagnose and treat a variety of acute injuries, including:
In addition to these injuries, the candidate must also be comfortable with treating pediatric patients, administering therapeutic and diagnostic injections, interpreting radiographs, reducing fractures, and applying splints/casts.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support this Injury Clinic onsite Monday through Friday. The clinic will be open from 8:00am to 4:30pm, so the weekly schedule will consist of 5, 8-hour shifts.
This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously as the sole Advanced Practitioner at our Amherst Injury Clinic while also functioning as part of the larger Orthopedic team and collaborating with our West Hatfield Injury Clinic.
