Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an entry level, motivated Industrial Services Technician in our Plainville, CT office.

As an Industrial Services Technician you will perform the work necessary to maintain systems for various industrial and manufacturing equipment following recognized industry and company standards. Training will be provided for varied tasks in the division.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the IS team on a variety of projects including wastewater O&M and repair, basic construction, piping installation and repair, minor demolition, ground water sampling, project oversite, and machine guarding fabrications and installation.
  • Must have experience using hand tools and power tools. Must have some experience in the construction field. Must have some basic carpentry and plumbing skills. Electrical skills are a plus.
  • Must be able to take direction, work instructions and work on projects both independently with little supervision as a member of a team.
  • Follow instructions, drawings, and safety protocols to determine material requirements, obtain tools and equipment to carry out assignments. Check to ensure equipment and supplies are available when required.
  • Perform equipment installations, maintenance, and preventive maintenance as required on capital assets and production equipment.
  • Perform similar duties throughout the firm within the scope and skill level of this job description. Assist other trades working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills.
  • Will be required to train for and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within an assigned field.
  • Requires having a flexible work schedule, working on different jobsites weekly. Some weekend work required. Some travel to projects required.
Requirements:
  • Basic acumen with hand tools and troubleshooting tooling.
  • HS diploma, Technical School or equivalent.
  • Ability to work from drawings and schematic diagrams, read technical prints of some complexity, and use basic mathematics.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
  • Must be able to lift to 35 lbs. safely.
  • Climb up and down ladders.
  • Mobility control of hands to set up equipment and operate tools.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.

The right candidate will be self-driven, self-motivated, and have great communication skills both written and verbal. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA without Sponsorship.
