New York Life's primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States. Every agent is affiliated with one of our General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales. Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations.

Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing, and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, and select target markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.

Role Overview

This role will work closely with the Platform Guidance and Agency Building Metrics Lead to identify, create, and execute "little s" strategies that enhance field productivity within new agent cohorts and achieving business objectives, including;

  • Specials Projects Lead / Coordinating projects / work efforts across teams.
  • Project plan deliverables and action plan coordination with team leads.
  • Assessing internal and external data to identify and quantify new market opportunities.
  • Identify procedural inefficiencies and opportunities for program optimization.
  • Budget planning and management across teams.
  • Coordinate, plan and execute team meetings.
  • Serve as liaison / SME for cross-functional and cross-value stream efforts.
  • Serve as team SME on planning tools to support with ad hoc projects or requests from Senior Leaders.
  • Provide support and guidance to GO staff and agents through zone efforts to increase agent productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Project management duties for cross-market initiatives.
  • Run point on special projects and cross-functional efforts to identify and execute strategy programs.
  • Identify resources needs, standard operational procedures, alignment gaps / opportunities.
  • Insure alignment of tools, resources, and program builds.
  • Leading and influencing cross-functional teams to inspire collaboration and drive alignment toward common strategic goals.
  • Conducting thorough research to gather relevant information and assess market dynamics, competitor strategies, and industry trends.
  • Curating and synthesizing complex information into clear, concise, and visually engaging PowerPoint presentations.
  • Crafting compelling narratives that effectively communicate the team's strategy, initiatives, and progress to various stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing change management strategies to support the adoption of new processes, tools, and initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, and maximizing buy-in from team members and stakeholders.
  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement and communication by organizing regular update meetings and progress reports to ensure alignment and transparency across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in a business strategy, consulting, and / or marketing planning role, with a deep understanding of the agency distribution model.
  • Strong project management and data analytics skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint,Excel, Word and Vizio plus project management tools data sourcing from Tableau and Sales Force.
  • Ability to analyze processes, identifying areas for optimization / opportunity / positioning solution opportunities for internal and value stream teams.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
