- Makes calculations, using engineering formulas and skills.
- Uses catalogs to specify items where original design is not required.
- Instructs drafters how to reduce designs into completed drawings.

Qualifications:
- Must have a degree in engineering.
- 0-5 years' related experience.
- Alternatively, may have a Master’s degree and no experience.
- Have passed the EIT Exam.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
- Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
