Core Responsibilities

  • Liaise with DOB on policy issues and support internal cross-functional teams who's work is closely tied to Local Laws within DOBs portfolio.
  • Liaise with DCAS and DOT on policy issues and support internal cross-functional teams who's work is closely
  • aligns or relies on DCAS and DOT engagement.
  • Liaise with DEP on policy issues and support internal cross-functional teams focused on climate resiliency.
  • Liaise with SBS, DPR, DOT, and EDC on priority projects for both the Company and Agencies.
  • Participate in cross-functional brainstorms and strategy meetings with consultants and relevant team members.
  • Assist the Section Manager of Government Affairs, Director of Government & Community Relations, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs in preparation of responses to legislators, committees and agencies as needed.
  • Attend virtual and in person meetings and functions with city officials and their staffs.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and five years of related work experience in Government Affairs or Public Affairs.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and implement new ideas and processes. Required
  • Experience drafting memos. Required
  • Excellent inter-personal skills. Required
  • Experience working cross-functionally within an organization on projects and key priorities. Preferred
  • Strong Project Management skills. Preferred

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
