Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Grants Manager.

The Grants Manager provides pre- and post-award management within the Department of Population Health. The position entails research administration, general administrative duties, and other projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for post-award fiscal and administrative management of awards including progress reports to funding agencies; subcontractor monitoring; faculty and staff salary allocations; and requests for carryover. Submit rebudgets as appropriate. Ensure spending on awards is appropriate, within budget and allowable per funding entity guidelines. Raise, resolve or escalate any concerns that arise.
    2. Responsible for maintaining faculty biosketches and Other Support documents according to NIH guidelines.
    3. Manage compliance with all funding agencies by ensuring that information required is maintained and reported on a regular basis. Identify and analyze any discrepancies in order to ensure appropriate justifications are provided.
    4. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA), Research Finance, and other corporate partners.
    5. Identify both internal and external research funding opportunities, and communicate application process and deadlines to Principal Investigators.
    6. Supervise junior grants administration staff as appropriate and necessary.
    7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Business, Health Administration or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an academic medical center, in government or other significant health-related non-profit; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of policies and procedures to ensure that research practices are in accordance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards. Demonstrated knowledge of grant submission process including preparing, completing, and collecting required paperwork and necessary signatures for federal and non-federal grant applications. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills are essential to interact effectively with diverse internal and external professional groups and sponsors. Candidate must have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines for grant submissions, and manage several projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
Project/Program management experience preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $114,660.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
