Job Overview:

Assists in the daily operation of the Monmouth County Screening Center by performing receptionist duties and general clerical duties.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Role requires comprehension of medical terminology
  • One to three years prior clerical experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver s License

Preferred:

  • Trade/vocational training preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Skilled and trained in reception, customer relations, and office procedures
  • Typing and word processing (minimum of 25 wpm), data entry, office machinery, medical terminology preferred
  • Basic knowledge of coding, billing and insurance preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem Day- Hours Vary

Essential Functions:

  • During high patient volume and/or acuity, assists by answering telephone lines and routing clinical calls to screening staff
  • Completes registration for off-site services, assists in the collection of statistical information, assists in payroll, takes minutes from various PESS meetings
  • Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas), etc.
