Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor, Social Work - LCSW - Acute Care/Hospital - Mineola.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the organization, administration and monitoring of the processes and procedures necessary for the operation of the Social Work Department. Ensures the Social Workers provide psycho-social support services, in accordance with professional standards and practice, to patient/family experiencing issues in social and/or emotional adjustment. Utilizes professional background and skills to facilitate patient-family meetings and assists team, attending physicians, staff, and patient and family in the clarification of the goals of care and the plan of care. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, both internal and external to the organization advocating for the patient/family to ensure smooth discharge planning and clear follow-up post discharge. Supervises the Social Work Department team in ensuring excellent patient care services, coordinating educational and outreach services, leading quality improvement initiatives, and linking team efforts with other hospital departments and with outpatient and community services.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Master's Degree Social Work. Current NYS Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW). 3 - 5 years Post Master's Degree experience in Health or social agency. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership, and problem solving skills. Ability to provide assistance based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Thorough understanding of social service operations within the acute care hospital.
Required Licenses: Lic Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $77,258.68 - $128,764.47 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
