Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Quality Coordinator in the Quality Resources Department at the New Brunswick campus.The Quality Coordinator is responsible for assisting with developing implementing and evaluating the deliverables set forth within Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital RWJUH Quality and Patient Safety Program.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience with external Quality reporting platforms such as Leapfrog and Care Compare
  • 3 years of hospital clinical experience
  • Bachelor s degree in a health care field
  • If candidate does not have national certificate, they must agree to pursue completion within one year of hire
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality and Patient Safety

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Nuance and Vizient
  • Master s degree
  • CPHQ CPPS or other certification

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift
  • Rotating weekends and holidays may be required
  • Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the performance improvement process by identifying trends prioritizing and recommending improvements supporting implementation of process improvement work and monitoring for sustainability
  • Assists with coordinating hospital wide Performance Improvement activities related to strategic initiatives organizational goals and departmental goals
  • Plays an integral role in patient safety activities through active monitoring of reported events, analysis of events via Root Cause Analysis RCA or Apparent Cause Analysis ACA and provides shared learning across the organization through Quality and Patient Safety focused High Reliability Organization HRO activities
  • Completes projects in an organized and timely manner with the ability to bring people together to achieve patient centered outcomes
  • Responsible for general oversight and maintenance of the organizational and or service line quality measures as well as scorecards and dashboards
  • Is knowledgeable of the requirements of national quality and patient safety initiatives and utilizes databases to provide summary reports as needed
  • Assists assigned departments with development and maintenance of performance improvement measures and analyzes the data collected
  • Supports the efforts of ongoing education regarding Quality Patient Safety Regulatory and HRO initiatives in collaboration with the department
